BETA SERVICE TERMS
Service and stake terms.
Membership version: founding-beta-2026-08-27-v4. Stake addendum: stake-mandate-2026-09-28-v7. Last updated: 26 September 2026.
1. Who supplies the service
A Large Company Ltd trading as Ughbusting AI, company number 17290014, supplies Ughbusting AI.
71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom
Email alexander@alargecompany.com for support, complaints, or cancellation.
2. The founding beta
The founding beta is limited to ten paid members. Paid membership is available to invited adults aged 18 or over. We can also invite adults to complimentary AI access. Your account can provide AI calls, human concierge calls, or no call feature.
A paid membership includes broad personal AI-call access, local call sheets, and a weekly call commitment. An operator-granted account can instead provide complimentary AI access or externally paid concierge access. The account displays its call and promise features.
Call availability depends on the beta service being operational. A service fault never creates a stake.
The service is an accountability tool. It is not health care, crisis support, therapy, safeguarding, or professional advice. It does not promise a work result.
Beta software can change or become unavailable. We will supply the service with reasonable care and skill.
3. Service price and renewal
For the initial invited friends beta in the UK, US and Canada, app membership costs £29 GBP per month through the two-step Checkout. Your account shows the exact price and currency before you save a card. The separate, currently disabled public-registration route has its own country pricing. This is the total membership price: there is no separate sign-up fee.
Every path gives you the same free trial: 14 days, whether you joined by invitation, a private invitation link, or public registration. No membership fee is due while your trial runs, and Stripe charges your first payment, in your account's price and currency, on the fifteenth day. Stripe then charges the same amount every month until you cancel, from the one card you saved. Cancel in the account billing portal before your trial ends and Stripe takes no membership payment at all. If your trial started before this 14-day trial change took effect, on an older seven- or eight-day trial, your original trial dates stand unchanged; this page describes the current offer.
A complimentary beta account has a £0 service price, no subscription renewal, and no payment authority. An externally paid service account follows its separate company agreement.
We will give reasonable notice before a membership price increase. You can cancel before the new price applies.
Weekly call target shortfalls stay simulated. Eligible private task and booking stakes can be recorded only if your account enables stakes and you separately accept the applicable stake addendum below. Section 3A sets out how a recorded stake is waived or collected.
Registration itself can be open worldwide. That does not mean paid membership is available in every country: we only take payment where we have confirmed we can admit it, and an account outside that list keeps registration open without a route to paid membership yet.
3A. Optional live-stake addendum
Exact current v7 payment authority: I authorise A Large Company Ltd to charge the payment method that I save with Stripe for accountability stakes under these terms. Each stake is the amount that Ughbusting AI shows me for that rule before the miss, and the displayed member-local monthly cap limits every live stake. Three booking rules can charge me: a week that I do not book and lock before the Sunday 18:00 deadline in my local time, a booked call that I do not attend, including a call that never starts or, in the first 30 minutes, a lost connection that does not return within 120 seconds, and a booked call that I leave before 30 minutes or where I do not answer every check-in that the call sends. One task-promise rule can also charge me: a task promise that I arm after accepting these terms and do not mark complete before its displayed deadline. The task stake is the amount shown before I arm it. Completion is my own declaration; optional uploaded proof and Alex’s review do not decide whether a task fine is due. A missed task is recorded and held for 24 hours, during which I can waive it for illness, an emergency, a service fault or another reason. If I do not waive it in time, the task stake is collected once. A fault in the service is never a miss. One call-stake rule can also charge me: a call that I start after choosing its stake, shown to me before the call starts and never above the displayed cap, charged once if I leave that call before its end, if I do not answer every check-in that the call sends, or if, in the first 30 minutes, a lost connection does not return within two minutes. A fault in the service is never a miss on that call either. A call stake waits at least 24 hours after the miss before collection, during which I can waive it in the application for service fault, illness, emergency, or another reason, the same as a booking miss, but a call stake has no make-up call to clear it. Each booking miss is recorded and held, not collected, while I can still clear it: booking a make-up call within 24 hours of the miss being recorded and having it take place and count before my local week ends, or within that same 24 hours if that is later, clears it, or within 48 hours for both if the miss happens on a Saturday or Sunday. An unbooked week clears the same way, within 48 hours of the missed deadline. If I do not book a make-up call in time, or I book one and it does not take place and count, the original booking stake is collected once, and a missed make-up call never creates a further stake. I understand that A Large Company Ltd keeps the stake as company revenue. I can withdraw authority for future stakes from my account.
Live stakes are optional company revenue. They are not deposits, donations, debt penalties, or payments to another person. A stake charge appears on your card statement as a descriptor such as "UGHBUSTING STAKE".
You see the stake before you arm a private task, lock an eligible call plan, or start a call with a call stake. A locked AI call plan can also apply its saved stake to a missed call. On the current one-card combined Checkout, you choose your stake from five presets, £5, £10, £25, £50, or £100 (or the dollar equivalent for a USD account), with £5 as the default. You also choose a monthly cap: it defaults to six times your chosen stake, and you can set it lower, but never below the stake itself. A call stake is separate: you choose it on the call setup screen, from £1 to £60 in whole pounds (or the dollar equivalent), never above your monthly cap.
The current v7 authority applies to the three booking rules from acceptance, to a task promise armed after accepting v7, and to a call you start after choosing its stake. Weekly promises remain record-only and cannot charge. An earlier mandate or task does not gain v7 authority, and a call stake needs v7. A booked call carries its booking stake, not a call stake. Your account never owes an unbooked-week fine for the first week you ever lock: that protection applies once, to your first-ever locked week.
Under the current addendum, three booking rules can charge the amount we show you for that rule before the miss: a week that you do not book and lock before the Sunday 18:00 deadline in your local time, a booked call that you do not attend, including a call that never starts, and a booked call that you leave before 30 minutes. A call counts as attended, not left early, if your connection drops after you have been on it for 30 minutes and you have answered every check-in the call sent you before the drop; a connection lost for more than 120 seconds within the first 30 minutes counts as leaving early instead. Outside a connection drop, a booked call also counts as missed if you do not answer every check-in that the call sends. Whether a call counts is judged from technical records that your own browser sends the service when the call ends; that is separate from the honour system for the work itself, which nobody inspects. A service fault on our side, or on our AI provider's side, still resolves in your favour and never creates a stake. An external concierge booking link does not create attendance evidence. Concierge calls do not create attendance fines. Only those booking rules, a task promise armed after v7 acceptance, and a call started with a chosen stake can create a new live stake. Weekly promises are record-only.
A call stake is the amount you choose on the call setup screen before the call starts, never above your monthly cap. It is charged once if you leave that call before its end, if you do not answer every check-in that the call sends, or if, in the first 30 minutes, a lost connection does not return within two minutes. A service fault never creates a call stake. A call stake opens the same 24-hour waiver window as a booking miss, but it has no make-up call to clear it.
A missed eligible task promise opens a 24-hour waiver window. You can waive it in the application for service fault, illness, emergency, or another reason. If it remains open, collection requires individual approval. A booking-rule miss follows the make-up clearing windows in the exact v7 authority above. A fault in the service is never a miss.
Outside that waiver window, if you face a genuine emergency you can email us about a specific stake. We may, at our discretion, void or refund it, whether or not it has already been collected. This is not a right, it is not the same as the waiver above, and we do not promise a response time.
Evidence uses the honour system. The service does not inspect your work. A service fault resolves in your favour. A booked call with no call started counts as missed, because this service issues every call token.
The displayed member-local monthly cap applies across eligible task, booking and call stakes. Weekly promises remain record-only. If a full stake would exceed the remaining cap, we record it without charging it and show that the monthly cap applied.
During this beta, each task payment attempt requires Alex's individual approval. We create at most one invoice for a task stake. A failed payment is not retried automatically. Contact us about a failed stake payment; we do not provide an invoice-payment link in the account. Your separate automatic-collection agreement, if any, does not remove this task approval step.
By accepting this addendum in Stripe Checkout, you authorise A Large Company Ltd to charge the saved payment method under these fixed rules. You can withdraw authority for future stakes from your account, separately from withdrawing automatic-collection agreement, from cancelling membership, and from deleting your account. Each of those four actions has its own effect: see section 6A.
Withdrawal and account deletion stop new payment attempts and ask Stripe to cancel open invoices. A payment already in progress can finish before cancellation. If that happens after withdrawal or deletion, we will refund it. This does not reverse a payment that completed before withdrawal.
4. When the contract and service start
A paid membership starts when Stripe confirms the card that you save at membership Checkout. No membership fee falls due during your 14-day free trial, on every path. Billing can start when the provider's recorded trial ends, in the price and currency your account shows, unless you cancel beforehand. An operator-granted service starts when we activate that access.
On the older two-step Checkout, the optional live-stake addendum starts only when Stripe confirms its own separate setup Checkout. On the current one-card combined Checkout, saving your card for membership also saves it for any stake you owe, and the addendum starts when Stripe confirms that one Checkout. Either way, the Checkout records the fixed acceptance version, your chosen stake and cap where you chose them, and your payment authority.
You can ask us to start a paid membership during the 14-day cancellation period. Membership Checkout records that request.
Ughbusting AI sends a membership contract confirmation and cancellation procedure by email. Stripe sends payment receipts. The terms remain available on this page for printing.
5. Your 14-day right to cancel
You can cancel through the end of the 14th day after the contract date. You do not need to give a reason.
Cancel through the account billing link ("Manage paid membership") -- it needs no email, though the Stripe portal itself needs at least one confirm step. If you cancel there through the end of the 14th day after the contract date, we treat that as your statutory cancellation notice under this section.
During your 14-day free trial you have paid no membership fee, so cancelling before it ends leaves nothing to refund for membership. Stakes are separate: an eligible task or booking miss can still be recorded during your free trial, and follows the waiver and collection rules in section 3A. Cancelling membership does not itself clear a recorded stake; section 6A explains the account controls.
If the first payment has already happened and you asked the service to start, we refund the price minus a proportionate amount for paid service you used before cancelling.
You can also send any clear statement that you wish to cancel, separately from using the portal. Emailing alexander@alargecompany.com or using the model form below are convenient ways to do that; the form is optional. A cancellation communication sent before the end of the 14-day period is in time, even if it reaches us later. Please keep proof of when you sent it; we record when we receive it to handle your notice and any refund.
We send any refund due within 14 days after we receive your cancellation. This section does not reduce your statutory rights.
Your account page shows the latest known payment state: pending, paid, failed, or unknown while we cannot confirm the provider's result. We check the provider's actual payment record when deciding any refund. We do not promise an automatic refund outside this section and section 3A.
6. Cancellation after 14 days
You can cancel at any time through the account billing link or by email. There is no cancellation fee.
Your membership continues until the end of the paid period. We take no later renewal payment.
Payments after the 14-day period are not refundable, except where consumer law requires a refund.
6A. Four separate account actions
These four actions are separate. Doing one does not do another.
- Cancelling renewal. The account billing link ("Manage paid membership") opens the Stripe billing portal. It stops the next renewal payment. If you use it through the end of the 14th day after the contract date, that also sends your statutory cancellation notice under section 5; the portal does not affect your stake authority either way. Your membership, and any booking stake tied to a call you have already locked, continue until the paid period ends, so a call you miss in that window can still create a stake; after the paid period ends, no new booking stake can be created. A stake already pending when you cancel renewal is not itself cancelled by this -- use "Withdrawing future stake authority" below if you also want to stop it.
- Withdrawing future stake authority. A control in your account stops new payment attempts for future stakes and asks Stripe to cancel open invoices. It does not cancel your membership and does not delete your account. A payment completed after withdrawal is handled under section 3A.
- Deleting your account. A control in your account stops access and starts membership cancellation. It also queues the same open-invoice cancellation as a stake withdrawal. Financial evidence remains for six years under section 8, on a pseudonymous record no longer linked to your open account.
- The statutory 14-day withdrawal in section 5. Any clear statement that you wish to cancel exercises this right in time if you send it before the 14-day period ends, even if we receive it later. Cancelling in the account billing link within that time is itself that statement. Email and the model form are convenient alternative ways to send it, not required formats. The stake-withdrawal control and account deletion do not send that statement on your behalf; we still recognise a clear statement you make alongside either of them.
The billing portal link, stake-withdrawal control, and account-deletion control are ordinary buttons in your account page. You can also send a clear statutory cancellation statement by email from a phone or keyboard, or use the printable form below.
7. Your account
You must be aged 18 or over and use your own invitation and sign-in link. Residence does not limit an invitation.
You must not misuse the service, attempt unauthorised access, or use it for unlawful activity.
We can suspend access for non-payment, a security risk, or material misuse. We will give the reason when the law permits.
8. Privacy and service providers
The privacy notice explains account data, live call processing, local storage, providers, retention, and rights.
OpenAI processes an AI call when your account provides one. Human concierge calls occur outside the application. Stripe processes membership and live-stake payment details. Ughbusting AI does not receive your full card number.
9. Problems and complaints
Email alexander@alargecompany.com. We will examine the problem and reply.
We do not require you to use alternative dispute resolution. You can use any consumer remedy that applies.
10. Responsibility
We are responsible for foreseeable loss that our breach causes. We are not responsible for loss that is not foreseeable.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or rights that the law does not permit us to exclude.
11. Law
English law governs these terms where the law permits. Mandatory consumer rights and courts in your place of residence remain available.
English is the contract language.
